I joined Splitting Point Studios to undertake short-term commission work. My role involved solving various technical challenges, to which my previous experience was highly applicable.
At Splitting Point Studios, I:
- Designed a binary serialisation mechanism for Steep Steps community creations, reducing data storage usage by over 80%.
- Leveraged previous experience on BedWars to implement a robust matchmaking system (using PlayFab for Roblox) for Pixel Piece, incorporating ranked Elo and region-based matchmaking.
- Reduced technical debt in Steep Steps and other Splitting Point titles, supporting enhanced code standards and more comprehensive bug testing.
