I joined Splitting Point Studios to undertake short-term commission work. My role involved solving various technical challenges, to which my previous experience was highly applicable.
At Splitting Point Studios, I:
- Designed a binary serialisation mechanism for Steep Steps community creations, reducing data storage usage by over 80%.
- Leveraged previous experience on BedWars to implement a robust matchmaking system (using PlayFab for Roblox) for Pixel Piece, incorporating ranked Elo and region-based matchmaking.
- Reduced technical debt in Steep Steps and other Splitting Point titles, supporting enhanced code standards and more comprehensive bug testing.

VectorThree is a Roblox media consultancy that, at the time, was venturing into developing its own games. I was brought on board by the company to implement their debut game, Noir.
Noir offers a unique take on the murder mystery genre on Roblox. Civilians collaborate with the Vandal to unmask the Murderer, enabling the Vigilante to take them down.
When working on Noir, I:
- Implemented server authority and custom network replication with Chickynoid to eradicate a wide variety of cheats, including physics-based exploits and wall hacks.
- Had my first exposure to React-lua in the wild. I created a comprehensive set of UI components with strong UX and accessibility controls.

My first experience working on top Roblox games offered me the chance to contribute to titles that attract tens of millions of monthly players. I was the first employee hired by the studio beyond its original creators, joining shortly after the initial release boom of Islands in 2021.
Easy Games is an independent Roblox game studio that develops voxel games similar to Minecraft. Islands and BedWars are both adaptations of popular Minecraft game modes within Roblox.
At Easy Games, I:
- Played a key role in supporting BedWars, a top-5 Roblox game with 25 million global monthly users, consistently delivering high-quality content updates every week.
- Successfully maintained BedWars’s matchmaking implementation through PlayFab for Roblox, supporting millions of daily matches.
- Implemented company tooling for deploying game updates to Roblox, enforcing security and code quality requirements. My work eliminated several classes of build failure that plagued BedWars since release.
- Assisted in the migration of all codebases to a central monorepo, facilitating approximately 80% code sharing across games. This drastically accelerated the development and release of new titles and enhanced code maintainability.
